Verre Églomisé

gilded glass table tops, panels and objects

Using the ancient craft of verre églomisé (gilded/painted glass), Carol combines Japan enamels with gold, silver and brass leaf to create table tops for incorporation into furniture or as artworks. More recently she has designed a gilded steel side table, drinks tray and mirror, incorporating verre églomisé glass (see Instagram page); all pieces are hand forged by local blacksmith Lisa Harding of Incus Iron.
